WCPT AM/FM Radio a Chicago progressive talk radio station owned by the Newsweb Corporation (who also owns WDEK 92.5 in DeKalb) found Ben Franklin of Northern Illinois on the internet and called them in to do a special project. Director of Engineering Michael G. McCarthy, CSRE, CEA for Newsweb Radio Company, needed Ben Franklin for a delicate job at the station located at 5475 N Milwaukee Ave. in Chicago.
Newsweb needed to line an existing 4″ clay tile storm drain under the building where they broadcast from. The portion of the building not only houses all the broadcast equipment but also is the base for the transmitter tower. Digging was just not an option! The job went very well and the radio show went on while the work was being completed. Another Ben Franklin Plumbing success story!
